È disponibile in digitale “DISTANCE”, primo singolo tratto dall’album di debutto di prossima uscita di YEBBA, nuova stella del panorama musicale internazionale, già vincitrice di un GRAMMY AWARD nella categoria “Best Traditional R&B Performance” nel 2019.
“Distance” è stata scritta dalla stessa Yebba, co-prodotta insieme a Mark Ronson e registrata presso l’NYC’s Electric Lady Studio con The Roots e Pino Palladino.

Il brano è stato ispirato dalle emozioni e dai sentimenti provati dalla cantautrice americana dopo la fine di una storia d’amore:
«Emotivamente, fisicamente e spiritualmente abbiamo provato ad andare avanti, ma l’unica cosa che abbiamo ottenuto veramente è stata la distanza. Così ho deciso di scrivere la parola addio ancora prima che ci capitasse di litigare».
Yebba è una cantautrice e arrangiatrice soul di 25 anni, cresciuta con la musica gospel, grazie anche al coro musicale della sua città natale, West Memphis, in Arkansas. Nel 2016 ha pubblicato il videoclip di “My Mind”, che ha rappresentato una svolta nella sua carriera, e il suo primo singolo “Evergreen”, che ha subito affascinato un’appassionata fanbase e che l’ha portata a importanti collaborazioni, come la performance con PJ Morton in “How Deep is Your Love”, che le è valso il suo primo GRAMMY AWARDS nella categoria “Best Traditional R&B Performance” nel 2019.
Lo scorso anno, Yebba è apparsa nell’album di Stromzy “Heavy Is The Head”, nel brano di Ed Sheeran “Best Part of Me”, in tre tracce dell’album “Late Night Feelings” di Mark Ronson (“Don’t Leave Me Lonely,” “Knock Knock Knock” e “When U Went Away”) e nella title track del mixtape “Fuck Yo Feelings” di The Robert Glasper Experience.
L’artista ha inoltre collaborato con Sam Smith (“No Peace”), Chance The Rapper (“Same Drugs”), Mumford and Sons (“Beloved”), e A Tribe Called Quest (“Melatonin”).
