Oggi, venerdì 31 luglio, è uscito “Such Pretty Forks In The Road”, l’atteso nuovo album di inediti dell’artista multi-platino e vincitrice di sette GRAMMY AWARDS, ALANIS MORISSETTE. Un disco composto da 11 tracce che raccontano il percorso che l’acclamata cantautrice ha fatto in questi due ultimi anni, mostrando il suo lato più vulnerabile.

Online anche l’esibizione di ieri sera al The Tonight Show con Jimmy Fallon del brano “Ablaze” , il cui video ufficiale uscirà oggi.

“Such Pretty Forks In The Road” è stato anticipato dai singoli “Reasons I Drink”  diretto da Erin Elders, “Smiling”, “Diagnosis” e “Reckoning”.

È stato posticipato al 2021 il tour europeo di Alanis Morissette a causa dell’emergenza epidemiologica scaturita dal virus Covid-19. La data italiana, originariamente prevista per il 15 ottobre 2020, è riprogrammata all’8 novembre 2021 sempre al Mediolanum Forum di Milano. Ad aprire il concerto ci sarà Liz Phair.

Dal 1995, Alanis Morissette è una delle più influenti cantautrici della musica contemporanea, acclamata dalla critica e vincitrice di 7 Grammy. Dopo il debutto nel 1995 con l’album “Jagged Little Pill”, ha pubblicato altri nove album. Ha anche collaborato con produzioni teatrali e ha recitato sul grande e piccolo schermo.

Sostiene l’empowerment femminile, la cura del benessere spirituale, psicologico e fisico. Nel 2016, Alanis ha lanciato Conversation with Alanis Morissette, un podcast mensile nel quale conversa con una grande varietà di autori, medici, educatori e terapisti, parlando di una vasta gamma di argomenti psicosociali che vanno dalla spiritualità allo sviluppo e all’arte. Il 5 dicembre 2019, il musical “Jagged Little Pill” ha fatto il suo debutto a Broadway.
