Proprio come lo spettacolo principale, la Premiere Ceremony offre anche epiche esibizioni dal vivo dei candidati ai GRAMMY e presentatori stellari. Premiano l’eccellenza nella musica rilasciata alla fine del 2019 e del 2020.

La categoria Best World Music Album è cambiata nella più inclusiva Best Global Music Album. Anche se questo potrebbe sembrare una sottile differenza a coloro che non hanno familiarità con il bagaglio che il termine “world music” porta, rappresenta un’ importante onore del suo passato e il movimento verso un futuro più inclusivo e adattivo. Il nuovo nome è stato deciso dopo lunghe conversazioni con artisti, etnomusicologi e linguisti di tutto il mondo, che hanno deciso che era ora di rinominarlo con “un termine più pertinente, moderno e inclusivo“, in una e-mail inviata ai membri della Recording Academy. “Il cambiamento simboleggia un allontanamento dalle connotazioni di colonialismo, folk e “non americanoche il termine precedente incarnava, adattandosi alle attuali tendenze di ascolto e all’evoluzione culturale tra le diverse comunità che può rappresentare“.

Gli appassionati di musica di tutto il mondo potranno guardare i Grammy Awards in diretta su CBS / CBS All Access. Inoltre, la cerimonia di premiazione dei GRAMMY, in cui viene assegnata la maggior parte delle 83 categorie di premi, verrà trasmessa in streaming in diretta su GRAMMY.com
