La star canadese Avril Lavigne ha attraversato una sorta di rinascita culturale negli ultimi tempi. Ha appena pubblicato il suo nuovo singolo, Bite Me, per l’etichetta discografica di Travis Barker, DTA Records. Il singolo è la prima pubblicazione dal 2019.
L’ex di Avril Lavigne ha ispirato i testi di Bite Me, lei non si tira indietro, Bite Me è da inviare a qualcuno che ti ha offeso in una relazione passata. L’inno pop-punk è tutto incentrato sul riconoscere quando qualcuno non va bene per te e lasciarlo andare. Non è sempre la cosa più facile da fare, ma la fiducia di Avril su Bite Me potrebbe essere la spinta di cui hai bisogno se ti dovessi mai trovare in una situazione del genere.
Avril e Travis hanno già lavorato insieme e Bite Me è una traccia che abbraccia le radici pop-punk di Avril portandole a un livello completamente nuovo. La canzone funge anche da debutto di Avril come parte della DTA Records di Travis Backer, avendo recentemente annunciato di aver firmato con l’etichetta.
Parlando della firma con la DTA Records, Avril afferma: “Ho sempre ammirato Travis e il suo lavoro. La prima volta che abbiamo lavorato insieme è stato 15 anni fa sul mio album The Best Damn Thing e mi è piaciuto molto vederlo diventare il produttore che è oggi. Abbiamo passato molto tempo a scrivere canzoni e lavorare su questo disco insieme, e firmare per la sua etichetta discografica, DTA, mi è sembrato la casa perfetta per me e la mia nuova musica. Travis comprende la mia visione come musicista, il mio processo creativo come artista e i miei obiettivi in questa fase della mia carriera. Sono entusiasta dell’uscita di Bite Me. È un inno sul conoscere il tuo valore, quello che meriti e non dare una seconda possibilità a qualcuno che non ti merita“.
