Oggi, la band di Los Angeles, The Interrupters ha pubblicato il loro attesissimo quarto album in studio In The Wild tramite Hellcat/Epitaph Records.
“Negli anni della mia formazione, sono cresciuto con molti tumulti e abusi in casa. Non avevo figure genitoriali coerenti a cui rivolgermi e non potevo fidarmi di nessuno“, condivide Aimee Interrupter a proposito di “Raised By Wolves”. “Sono finita in una famiglia affidataria e mi sono trasferita molto durante la mia infanzia. Questo ha posto le basi per molti passi falsi nella mia vita. Sento davvero di essere stata allevata dai lupi… in natura. Questa canzone sono io che vengo a patti con questo e perdono coloro che mi aspettavo fossero lì per me, perdonando anche me stessa.”
In The Wild arriva insieme al video del singolo “Raised By Wolves”.
Mentre l’album nel suo insieme agisce come una parvenza di resilienza e sopravvivenza, “Raised By Wolves” è l’apice di In The Wild e rappresenta la tumultuosa educazione di Aimee, ma alla fine indica la forza che ha sviluppato attraverso quelle esperienze. Aimee ha parlato con Nylon Magazine della sua lotta per tutta la vita contro la depressione, del vivere attraverso gli abusi e di ciò che la rende piena di speranza.
Nonostante gli argomenti pesanti affrontati, In The Wild non è appesantito ma piuttosto sollevato in uno spazio da inno che offre forza e ispirazione agli ascoltatori.
