Disponibile dal 25 agosto, il nuovo brano arriva dopo “boy”, traccia uscita l’anno scorso, che è stata acclamata dalla critica e da testate come Rolling Stone, Pitchfork, Consequence of Sound, UPROXX e molti altri.
“Your Side Of Town” è stato scritto da Brandon Flowers e prodotto dai The Killers, Stuart Price e Shawn Everett, ed è caratterizzata dai synth e dalle voci distorte del ritornello che creano una nuova interpretazione della straordinaria capacità della band di produrre un inno destinato a restare impresso.

La band è attualmente in tour in Europa e UK per diversi festival e live shows, tra cui il celebre Reading & Leeds Festival in programma per questo fine settimana, mentre prossimamente toccherà gli Stati Uniti in diverse date tra cui l’Ohana Festival in SoCal, Life Is Beautiful nella loro città natale Las Vegas, e con una performance speciale al Gran Premio di Austin di Formula1.
La band aveva iniziato ad anticipare l’uscita del singolo sui social e ha commentato così l’arrivo di “Your Side Of Town”:
“Ciao a tutti, con molta emozione vi annunciamo l’uscita di “Your Side Of Town”. Ha il fantasma di molta della musica synth che ci ha ispirato nel corso degli anni. Eppure, in qualche modo, sembra completamente nostra. Ora è vostra! Alzate il volume.”
I The Killers hanno pubblicato il loro sesto album “Imploding The Mirage” nell’agosto del 2020 ottenendo la posizione numero 8 della Billboard 200 e la numero 1 della Billboard Top Rock Albums chart, poco dopo è arrivato “Pressure Machine”, inserito nella lista “Best Albums of 2021” da NME, Slant Magazine, The Boston Globe e UPROXX. Il successo dei The Killers è riconosciuto in tutto il mondo, hanno venduto oltre 30 milioni di album ottenendo decine di riconoscimenti a livello mondiale grazie a brani e album come quello d’esordio, “Hot Fuss”, certificato disco d’oro in Italia, “Somebody told me” e “Human”, entrambe disco d’oro e “Mr. Brightside”, disco di platino in Italia.
